 Q: How do I manage Calendar ?
 A:
Our goal is to have every property listed with us, presented the best possible way so it leaves a great first impression and a lasting one on web site visitors and your potential customers. We know that the small things can sway travelers to choose one place over another.
We, at Vacation Rentals 1on1, want every member to take full advantage of all features available on our web site , and have best experience using it.
 
With every property listed at www.vacationrentals1on1.com, there is an availibility and booking calendar for your convenience.
We urge everyone to take advantage of these feature, and here is a reminder of how to do it.
 
1) Log in to your account (home page, owner home).
2) Click on the link Properties (on the left hand side), this will take you to the page where you can View/Edit/Delete Vacation Rentals.
 
On the right hand side there is a list of all features that help you manage your listing better (Manage Bookings, Manage Photos, Manage Features, Manage Availability, See Calendar, Change Rates, Manage Discounts, Manage Reviews, See Messages, Configure Google Map).
 
The calendar will show the availability of you property, but the Booking Feature will help you a great deal in managing your calendar with more details, which you may find valuable.
Information such as booked dates, discounts, price, name of person (visitor), address, phone #, e-mail, age, # of people, flight info., method of payment, and transfer from/to airport can be kept with this feature. Also, you can mark every booking as Booked or Booked but not confirmed (which can help you plan activities regarding confirmation, payment etc.)
 
Click on Manage Bookings, and screen for View/Edit/Delete Booking will open. Click on the tab Click here to add  (middle of the screen) to add bookings. Here you will add  your bookings and all relevant information about it. This will reflect in your Booking Calendar , and this is your tool to manage properties and bookings.  Every booking will be registered in the availability calendar, and your potential visitors will be able to see your availibility calendar, as well, when checking your listing on our web site.  After the booking is activated, it will be very easy for you to check out and remind yourself about each booking. Just point your mouse on the booked date and a window with all the relevant information will pop up.
You can also choose other ways to mange your calendar. Simply click on calendar and check boxes for all the days that property is booked (taken). This way the calendar will show all available days but you will miss all the benefits of using our booking feature and the booking calendar.

 Q: How will I upload pictures of my property ?
 A:

 
1) Log in on your account (home page, owner home)
2) Click on the link Properties (on left hand side), this will take you to the page where you can  View/Edit/Delete Vacation Rentals
3) Click on the link Manage Photos (on right hand side), this will take you to a new page where you can View/Edit/Delete Gallery
4) Click on the Add link on the top of the page, and this will open a new page where you can add 3 new pictures to your Gallery
5) After uploading your pictures, and adding their descriptions numbered in order of their appearance, click on the add box at bottom of the page
6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you upload all the pictures you are entitled to or wish to post.

 Q: How many accounts I can open ?
 A:

You can open as many accounts as you wish but you need to have separate e-mail account for each account.

One e-mail address can be used only for one membership. We highly recommend to check all and every Service Package we offer so you can pick and choose one that best fits your needs.

 Q: What does it cost to list my Vacation Rental ?
 A:

We strive to provide best service for Vacation Rental Owners when they list their property with us, providing maximum exposure for their properties and attracting as many as possible visitors and customers. Our goal is to empower Owners and Visitors to make direct contact among themselves, eliminate "middleman" and make it a more cost effective for each side.

We charge annual fee for listing property with us:

Package # 1 = 1 Rental Unit - 365 days - Price $ 40.00

Package # 2 =  4 Rental Units - 365 Days - $ 70.00

Package # 3 =  8 Rental Units - 365 Days - $ 110.00

Package # 4 =  Bed and Breakfast /Small Hotel - 365 Days - $ 175 .00

Package # 5  = Hostel - 365 Days - $ 100.00

We do not charge booking fees or commissions. Once you list your property, it will be active for next 365 days. Hurry up.

At expiration of fist year you will have choice to extend your membership for another year.

  1. Title or headline of the property
  2. Information about where the property is located and Google maps 
  3. Summary of the location and accommodation.
  4. Up to 9 color photos per property, including slide show of photographs.
  5. A short description of the property as well as detailed description as seen by property owner.
  6. Details on price, terms and payments required by property owner.
  7. Link to owners Web Site.
  8. The availability calendar - this is updated on line by the property owners, advertisers. 
  9. Rental rates.
  10. A checklist of accommodation and facilities.
  11. Details of how to contact the owner or agent by e-mail, telephone or fax for further information, availability and booking.
  12. Booking form that will be sent directly to property owner.
  13. Write and post, comment and review about property.

 Q: How do I find a vacation rental for my family ?
 A:

If your looking for a home to rent for your vacation please go to our home page and select the location of where you want to go, then select the vacation property that meets your needs.

You will then need to send booking request and contact the owner to make your rental arrangements for payment and dates.

Please do not contact VacationRentals1on1 directly you must contact the owner of the properties listed on our site.

 Q: How do I list Multiple Units for rent ?
 A:

When you own multiple units you can choose and sign up for Package that best fit your profile and your needs. We highly suggest one of packages that allows listing of multiple units. However, you can sign up individually for each Unit, but please note that you can use one e-mail address for one account only.

If you want to sign up for more different accounts you will have to have more  e-mail address, since one e-mail can be used for one account, only.

 Q: I can't remember my password !
 A:

In case you can't remember your password, you need to click on link Forgot password?, in login area, and provide e-mail address you used when you joined and security code. We will e-mail missing information to you.

 Q: What is Wishlist ?
 A:

Vacation Rentals1on1 has a sophisticated but very easy to use Wishlist function. You can add properties to your Wishlist from any of the search results. You can access your Wishlist from the tab at the top of every page. Then you can compare properties, in order to make best selection and find property that best fit your needs, desires and budget. Also, you can send a booking inquiry to the owner/advertiser and remove properties from Wishlist.

 Q: How to pay for my vacation rental ?
 A:

Common payment methods include, but are not limited to:

  • Paying by PayPal
  • Credit or Debit Card
  • Electronic bank Transfer
  • Cheque and money orders

PayPal

PayPal allows you to send a secure on line payment directly to an owner from your bank account or credit card. The money is then transferred to the owner via PayPal.

PayPal is a secure on line payment service. It allows you to pay securely over the Internet from your credit or debit card, bank account or PayPal balance, without sharing your financial details with the person you are paying.

Advantages

  • Payment is traceable and PayPal's payment tracking system allows you to see the status of your payment on line
  • Your financial details are securely encrypted and are not shared with anyone other than PayPal which limits the risk of unauthorized use
  • Similar protection to credit cards if you transfer money from your credit card
  • You don't have to enter your credit card details on line - you can transfer money from your bank account if you prefer
  • The property owner does not have access to your credit card details

Disadvantages

  • Limited protection against fraudulent transactions if you transfer money from your bank account
  • Difficult to recover in cases of fraud once the transfer is made

Paying by Credit Card

Paying for your vacation rental home by credit card requires you to provide your credit card information directly to the owner. Not all owners are able to accept credit cards so check with them if you would like to pay using your credit card.

Advantages

  • Payment is traceable
  • Payment is immediate and convenient
  • Credit card providers typically provide some level of identity & purchase protection. Make sure you check the terms & conditions of your protection policy

Disadvantages

  • Typical to any on line payments with credit card

Paying by electronic bank transfer

Electronic bank transfers allow you to send payment directly from one recognized bank account to another. However, once the funds have left your account they may be difficult to recover in cases of fraud or disagreement.

Advantages

  • Payment is traceable
  • Payment is immediate and convenient
  • Payment is deposited directly into the owners account

Disadvantages

  • Payment is difficult to recover in cases of fraud once a transfer has been made

Paying by cheque and money orders

Personal cheques are the acceptable method of payment for many owners. Money orders, available from your bank or the Post Office, offer a more secure alternative to sending cash by mail. This method of payment is also good for owners because it requires that the funds be prepaid for the amount shown.

Advantages

  • Most vacation home owners accept payment by these methods
  • Payment is traceable to a particular mailing address
  • Proof of payment is provided
  • Most banks and money order services allow you to stop a payment if problems arrive before the cheque or money order is cashed

Disadvantages

  • Payment is slower than by credit card or via PayPal
  • Difficult to recover in cases of fraud once the cheque or money order is cashed
